Blackheart Beauty Review /// Eyeshadow Primer & Lipstick

So, Hot Topic has a new line of beauty products called Blackheart. They are not tested on animals and most of the products are vegan-friendly. Soooo I decided to try out three of the products and do reviews on them. There are three lipstick colors: Red, Pink, and Black. I only bought the red and the pink because black lipstick is pretty much what you’d expect. Here are pictures of the red and pink:

Now for the review.

What I like about these lipsticks is the color payout. These lipsticks are not for the faint of heart. The pink is SUPER bright and the red is VERY dark. The picture of the red doesn’t really do justice for how dark it is. Very good if you want something bold and noticeable. Also, they go on really smoothly.

What I didn’t like about these lipsticks is almost the same as what I did like. Personally, I don’t think these colors are wearable for every day. The pink would be good for a rave, and the red would be good for a fancy event or halloween… They aren’t very moisturizing, and that’s why I don’t wear much lipstick to begin with. They also have a plastic smell to them. :/ They are basically just flat colors with a slight satin-y finish to them, nothing that really impressed me. But, they are only $5… So I’d give them a 2.5/5 rating, just because they weren’t horrible but I wasn’t blown away.

As for the primer, I don’t have a picture but I have tested it out, and I was pleasantly surprised. It worked fairly well for me for being so cheap. The consistency is a little weird, it looks like eyelash glue, and it makes your eyelids feel sticky before you put on whatever eyeshadow you’re going to use. But after the eyeshadow is on, it stays there. If I wasn’t already using a primer that I love, I would definitely repurchase it. I’d give it a 4/5.

Let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything you’d like me to review! I have a small list going for when I get paid next ^_^
